What was your favorite Stanford OHS course and why?
It is torturous to pick just one - my mom has been pulling my metaphorical teeth about it for the past ten minutes. I loved the astronomy research seminar (8th grade for me) for Ms. Tock's teaching style, the awe of the course content, and the experience of putting together an actual paper. I really liked HSC for similar reasons - Dr. Tillman's boundless dynamism this time, and the fascinating experience of peeling away one's own worldview to the ideas underneath. I've loved Latin for the enduring community, puzzlebox feeling of latin grammar, and critical examination of an English class.

What is your favorite extracurricular activity?
I really like - and miss - sabre fencing! It's a visceral blend of bluff and tactic, some of it happening so quickly that brilliant plans are composed from muscle memory instead of analytics. There is a particular flow to the sport like the meditative rhythm of long-distance running but able to be entered in a few minutes rather than hours.

What is your favorite/best Stanford OHS memory?
Six years does not compress easy. I think I have to go with one of my first memories - 7th grade Summer at Stanford, where and when I met my lasting friend group talking about what their particular plan would be to survive the lord of the flies on the way to the first day's breakfast. The moment stands clear in my mind, from the slightly overcast weather to Siddharth describing how he would run into the forest, tame a bear, and emerge every 23 hours (exactly) to patrol the beak screaming wildly lest anyone pursue him. The nostalgia seems to have seized my pen.

What is your career goal?
To be a physicist of some description, whether astro-, quantum, or a mechanical engineer. I hope to do some good with the discipline in which I'm most at home, and to invent the pieces needed for a better world.
