2020 Stanford OHS Senior: Yousuf Golding

What was your favorite Stanford OHS course and why?
I think that through the four years I have been at Stanford OHS my favorite course has to have been Revolutions and Rebellions. For me the class was an introduction into the unique style of classes that belong to Stanford OHS and I think it was the class that convinced me I was going to enjoy my time at Stanford OHS.

What is your favorite/best Stanford OHS memory?
I'm not sure what my most favorite memory is but one that is significant to me and likely a lot of other graduates are just getting the notice that I'd been accepted into Stanford OHS. For me this was significant not only because I was happy to be able to go to this unique school, but also because my brother and sister both attended Stanford OHS and now I had that same opportunity to.

What are some accomplishments you are most proud of?
The seven hundred and seventy hours of volunteering I did. This isn't significant just because of the amount of hours I'd done but rather because half of those hours were just done in 2019, meaning that rather than focusing 100% on college applications and the spring semester of my junior year I spent almost every weekend volunteering that year which I mostly don't regret.

In 10 years, you hope:
To have got somewhere.
