Yliana Gomez

As a South Los Angeles native, Yliana has spent most of her time in Southern California. During her undergraduate studies at UCLA she developed a passion for the field of Education. From UCLA she earned a B.A. in Music History and Education Studies. Her experience there fueled her passion for educational justice and motivated her to pursue a M.A. in Education Policy and Social Analysis from Columbia University. She relocated to New York City and there she had the opportunity to continue working with youth in the Harlem community. Yliana joined OHS in June 2018 and is excited to start a new journey with OHS. In her own time, she enjoys working out, playing music, and trying new food!
