My eldest child was drawn to the small, discussion based classes and diverse student population at Stanford OHS. When her younger siblings saw the quality of the instructors, overheard the thoughtful conversations between students in classes, and engaged in social gatherings with other Stanford OHS families, they knew that this school was the best fit for them as well.

Advice for Prospective Parents

If your student is intellectually curious, or passionate about subjects, find a school like Stanford OHS with a student body that will support them. Surround them with peers who want to be in class to learn, to discuss, to debate, and to explore new ideas. Excitement about learning is normal and respected by peers at Stanford OHS!

The accessibility and genuine interest every Stanford OHS instructor has had for both their subjects and for their students. Stanford OHS teachers are available every week in office hours to improve understanding, or just chat about shared interests in their fields.
