About Me
I’m a junior in Southern California with a passion for tennis, basketball (and a huge Lakers fan), and robotics. I love building anything and everything —whether it’s apartment buildings, cars, or robots. I am also fascinated by and working in AI, Machine Learning and automation advancements in technology. Outside of school, I started a nonprofit to help seniors with technology, which has been a great way to give back. On top of this, I have gotten and love going to my robotics internship at a local startup. My goal is to start my own company pursue my interests in robotics/technology and or real estate development.
Why I Chose Stanford OHS
I chose Stanford OHS because it fit best with my academic desires and personal wants to explore my passions outside of school. The variety of courses offered, combined with the flexibility of the program, was incredibly compelling and I knew it would allow me to explore subjects I’m passionate about while maintaining a rigorous academic schedule. Having previously attended a mix of public and private schools, I was looking for an environment that allows for independence and cuts down on the wasted time at traditional schools. At Stanford OHS, the environment has significantly enhanced my academic development, enabling me to explore my interests deeply while engaging with a community of motivated peers and supportive instructors.
What I Love About Stanford OHS
I find Stanford OHS to be the most unique and amazing school because it is the perfect balance between unmatched academic rigor and the freedom to pursue my passions. The challenging curriculum pushes me to explore subjects at a deeper level than otherwise possible and focus on the subjects I enjoy most. This is only aided by the instructors who are the most incredible and intelligent teachers I've ever had. They are also always available for support through office hours and email. Meeting with peers at both online and at meetups, has been a refreshing opportunity to be social even at an online school, the school has done a phenomenal job of selecting passionate and motivated students creating a strong sense of community. The clubs and student support systems, like the Writing Center and peer tutors, make the course load less daunting and manageable.
