Joe Polacco
Computer Science Instructor
Mr. Polacco received his M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder, with an emphasis in probability and stochastic modeling. His research includes disease transmission dynamics, behavioral genetics, and, more importantly, statistical modeling of Major League Baseball statistics as a predictor of success. Prior to graduate school, Mr. Polacco received a B.S in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Missouri. In his over 20 years of teaching, Mr. Polacco enjoys making computer science accessible and relevant to students from all backgrounds and interests by providing project-based learning that crosses multiple disciplines.
When offline, Mr. Polacco enjoys trail running, soccer, Wiffle ball, and increasing Monarch butterfly populations.
