Esther Howard Cuadros, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, received her bachelor’s and master’s degree from The University of Texas at Dallas. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Literature at her alma mater. Her specialty areas are 18th and 19th-century British Literature and British History, with a sub-focus on Caribbean Anglophone Literature during the colonial period of 1760-1960. Her current project is her dissertation titled Revolution, Romanticism, and Abolitionism: Mary Ann(e) Rawson’s The Bow in the Cloud and British Women's Writing, 1770-1834. In this process, Esther dissects abolitionist literature from Rawson’s extant archived anthology to ascertain the 'literariness' of the pieces from the female contributors of the Bow.

Esther’s teaching experience includes teaching literature in the high school setting, as well as ESOL and Composition courses at local community colleges, and Rhetoric, British Literature, and World Literature at various universities. Though her most recent assignment was at The University of Texas at Dallas, she has also taught at The University of North Texas at Dallas, Ashland University, Dallas College: Eastfield and Northlake Campuses, and Richland Collegiate High School.

When not writing her dissertation or teaching, Esther enjoys spending time with her husband and family as well as arguing with her book friends about badly written books.
