Dr. Bristol Cave-LaCoste is from San Diego, CA and currently resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota with her two dogs and one human child. She completed her Ph.D. in History from UC Santa Cruz with a Designated Emphasis in Latin American and Latinx Studies. Her dissertation explored how women navigated the U.S. immigration system in the 19th and early 20th centuries. At OHS she has taught AP U.S. History and World Civilizations to 1800 and enjoys the lively discussions and thoughtful reading that students do at Stanford OHS. When she is not working, she spends a lot of time knitting and sewing her clothing and digging for old treasures in antique stores.
