Anna Pisarello started her Latin studies at 13 in her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and continued her studies after moving to the US at 15. She studied Classical Languages at the University of Chicago and continued on to graduate studies in Classics at the University of California, Berkeley.
At Berkeley Anna taught Latin at many levels: regular and accelerated introductory sequences, intermediate poetry and prose courses on specific authors, and Latin prose composition. She additionally taught Greek Myth, Roman Civilization and Literature, and Roman History. She is also a freelance editor for academic publications in her field. Outside of Classics she tutors ESL with MUA, an Oakland-based immigrant Latina women's organization, and facilitates seminars on labor history and domestic worker's rights with Hand in Hand.
Anna joined Stanford OHS in 2013; she lives in Berkeley with her husband and two children.
