What are some accomplishments you are most proud of?
Starting and running STEM2Leaf Robotics, an organization I founded to offer free robotics workshops to underserved students in my community. It’s really amazing seeing them pick up programming and building so quickly and making their own LEGO robots.
What was your favorite Stanford OHS course and why?
Critical Reading & Argumentation: my first true philosophy class. I had no idea what real philosophy entailed or why we were asked to explore certain questions. But this class changed many of my perspectives on ethics, friendship, identity, etc. It was a deeply enriching experience.
What is your favorite extracurricular activity?
Taekwondo! I started training taekwondo when I was just five years old and have been at the same studio ever since. I’m now a fourth degree black belt and help teach classes. Taekwondo helps me center my mind and take care of my body amidst the stresses of school.
