Manifesto and Reflection Assignment

Prompt

Write a 1-2 page liberation manifesto on a topic affecting your life.  Your manifesto should make careful use of the rhetorical tones, rhythms, and vocabulary--in short, the "languages of liberation"--that you've been studying over the past few weeks.

Along with your liberation manifesto, also submit a 1-2 page essay in which you explain your creative choices. What elements of a liberation manifesto did you see as being most important? Support your argument with specific quotations from the manifestos we have read so far in this class, explaining how you used them as models. In your conclusion, address the following question: what was the hardest part of writing your liberation manifesto? What aspect of 18th century liberation manifestos was the least adaptable to your 21st century life?
