What was your favorite Stanford OHS course and why?
Democracy, Freedom, and Rule of Law (DFRL), the 11th grade core class! This was my first introduction to political science and political philosophy, two subjects I did not know I would find so compelling. I thoroughly enjoyed the readings we did and always loved going to class to share discussions with my classmates and Dr. Drogalis. This class also helped me realize that I hope to find time to study political science while in college.
What is your favorite extracurricular activity?
Playing the cello! I started studying cello in my freshman year of high school and am currently the Assistant Principal Cellist at the Louisiana Youth Orchestra. I have always loved the instrument and wanted to play it, so having the opportunity to become a cellist has been wonderful!
What is your favorite song?
I can't pick one song! But some of my favorites are "Grow As We Go" and "So Will I" by Ben Platt, "The Call" by Regina Spektor, "Death With Dignity" by Sufjan Stevens, and "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel.
