What was your favorite Stanford OHS course, and why?
My favorite Stanford OHS course is Latin American & Iberian Lit & Cultures because it gives me the opportunity to practice my Spanish through real-world applications and relevant discussions. The representation provided by the course as we read poems and stories by Latin American authors or research Latin American leaders has made me a more open-minded and global citizen.
What is your favorite extracurricular activity?
Teaching Spanish to high schoolers through the nonprofit Pinnacle Academy and fulfilling my role as their Director of World Languages.
In 10 years, you hope...
That I have graduated from medical school and am pursuing projects that I am truly passionate about.
What advice do you wish you could known at the start of your Stanford OHS journey?
I wish I knew that even though Stanford OHS students are some of the most accomplished and intellectual people I know, Stanford OHS culture is not as intimidating or competitive as I initially expected. Stanford OHS students are so helpful and supportive, and I have formed friendships that will last a lifetime, so I would advise being involved in the community as soon as possible!
