In this accelerated introductory course, students will master the basics of Latin grammar and vocabulary and begin reading short Latin texts of increasing complexity. Students also study Roman history, mythology, culture, and daily life through lectures and supplemental readings. Understood goals: Mastery of key grammar and syntax together with vocabulary; understanding of key components of Roman history and culture.
