Stanford OHS Homeroom is an opportunity for students, instructors, and staff to come together to share school-wide announcements, discuss a variety of topics such as current events or study skills tips, and participate in social activities. Each small group of students forms their own identity over the year based on their interests and engagement. Activities vary from week to week but often include school-wide surveys, sharing of helpful approaches to common problems, and a chance to informally connect. Groups meet once a week on Monday or Tuesday for approximately 30 minutes and are organized by grade level to facilitate peer interactions. Full-time and part-time students are assigned a homeroom group to fit their schedules, and attendance is taken. Single-course students are also welcome to participate and should contact their academic advisor to enroll.
