Make an argument about an interpretive question in the play as a whole (Shakespeare’s Henry V) through a close analysis of a single passage in the play. The rough draft is 4 pages minimum, and should be based on one of the passages you analyzed in your recent homework assignments. In class, we will work on editing each other’s essays down to 2 pages for the final version. (Ouch!) The goal is to practice cutting down extraneous material in your writing.
